El Skid

El Skid is one of the more wraithlike night creatures in the fantasy directors Top Trumps pack. Scoring highly on directing, editing, effects and motion graphics he is easily beaten on sociability and any kind of ability to exist outside of an editing suite. It is rumoured he was once a boy soprano in one of the capital’s cathedrals, and that he could play the violin one-handed but after swallowing a radioactive goose at the esteemed University of Oxford the Skid began his metamorphosis into the terrifying personage now occupying a Freon-cooled cryogenic facility 200ft below the Chrome office.

His work cavorts playfully between styles from the comedic to the technical to the glossy and he was rewarded with a CADS nomination (best budget video) and an entry in Rushes Soho Shorts in 2007 for Undercut’s A Bit of Education. El Skid often teams up with Gez Medinger to form the tag team ultimate fighting unit known as Badgers and the pair have written a major TV drama series together. Other credits include work for MTV’s Sportsblender in the US as well as extreme sports films and TV programmes including Gumball 3000: Around the World in 8 Days.
