Anna was born and raised in Kenya where she developed her thirst for travel, adventure, extreme sports and wildlife. She is a genuine free spirit and an adrenaline junkie. She is drawn to anything extra-ordinary.
With an ambition to become a Flying Doctor in East Africa she studied Neuroscience at Nottingham University. In her second year, she became engrossed in the idea of using TV as a powerful tool to help educate and inform, so went about building a TV station and online channel from scratch, she called it NUTS (Nottingham University TV Station). Realising she spent more time in her station then in the labs she decided to cash in her white coat for a degree in Film and TV studies with a goal to finish creating this valuable platform for the student voice. NUTS is now a popular part of the student union with hundreds of student members and some awesome content. Anna spent her graduation day with the Kamaiura tribe in the Amazon, but on her return to Nottingham University granted her with an award for 'exceptional contribution to the Student Union'.
In 2009 before she finished University Anna was approached with two incredible but contrasting TV offers. Anna eventually turned down a Peter Rice internship with FOX in Hollywood so she could take on the tribal world as a contestant in BBC's series Last Woman Standing.
Anna is at home behind and in front of the camera. With an endless supply of energy and a drive for perfection she will take on any challenge and do it well, which she proved by winning Last Woman Standing. Anna has previously worked for BBC – London and Mediae Trust – Kenya. When not at Chrome she travels the world doing production and presenting jobs that inspire and interest her whist developing her own ideas. |
